OPIRG Brock welcomes a new staff to the community! Come by the office in the new year to meet Julia Kerr the new organizational, research and volunteer coordinator. Congratulations Julia!

If you are interested in participating with OPIRG and missed this year's opportunity to join the board, please consider volunteering with many of our working groups and research initiatives. Come by the office to help us with our resource library or even start a working group of your own!

OPIRG-Brock is governed by a Board of Directors which is made up of Brock students and members of the community who are elected at an Annual General Meeting, whom work collectively, making decisions by consensus in a inclusive and fully participatory democratic environment. Undergraduate students, and community members are eligible to run.

OPIRG-Brock welcomes new staff Julia Kerr to the Coordinator position.
Julia will be joining the OPIRG community in the new year!

Milica Njegovan
Campus Relations and Programming Co-ordinator

Milica has just graduated with a bachelor in honours history at Brock University. She has been the Amnesty International Brock Chapter coordinator for 2006-2008 with a strong focus on human rights and development issues.Milica's undergraduate thesis was focused on development and the 'Third World", which she has carried forth in work with Amnesty and now, OPIRG Brock.

Avery Kennedy
Avery is entering her first year of the Social Justice and Equity Studies Masters program. She plans to a pursue a career in civil society, focusing on social justice and environmental issues she is passionate about. She enjoys volunteering, working with people, music, reading, hiking and traveling.


Position: Secretary

Vanessa Gomez
Position: Board Member

Vanessa is a third year linguistics major in the TESL program. Also minoring in International Studies, Vanessa plans to teach English as a second language abroad. She is interested in alternative medicines and holistic healthcare. Also passionate about the environment, Vanessa enjoys climbing trees, cooking, and going on "nature walks."

Neeva Sandhu
Position: Board Member

Neeva is a 3rd year sociology major with a concentration in Social Justice and Equity. She plans to pursue a career as a paralegal focusing on Social Justice cases which she is very passionate about. Neeva loves to travel, enjoys hiking, horse riding and painting.
