Water water everywhere but not a drop to drink!Stay tuned to find out about our bottled water campaign on campus and our the research we are doing to educate people about on of our precious resources: water. The Council of Canadians has done some excellent research and action on water. Check them out at www.canadians.org and support the action campaigns they have going on including:
Action alert: Canada needs a national water policy Action alert: Federal Government must recognize the right to water Protect BC's Sacred Headwaters from becoming a coalbed mathane gas field scarred by wells, pipelines and roads. Petition to the Government of Canada: we must oppose water privatization and recognize water as a fundamental human right. In the mean time, check out the Council of Canadian's website to find out how you can help: sign some petitions, conact your MP on the multitude of water issues happening effecting water.  |
