Critical Mass August 2009

Great news fellow passengers, after the Critical Mass in St. Catherines (Montebello Park Pavillion, 5:30pm) come visit OPIRG-Brock at the Radical Infoshop at 73 St. Paul St. It it the lovely shop with the iron gates near the old Liberty Bikes shop. Also be sure to greet Randi the newest OPIRG-Brock staff member at the Radical Infoshop.

Don't let that stop you from bringing along as many people as you can to ride in solidarity with us at the Critical Mass main event.

Fill Out a Survey, Win a Better Community (Niagara Bus System)

Great advances have been made in the last year for cycling enthusiasts in Niagara. Although in order to have the region as a whole support our initiatives for year-round cycling more attention needs to be paid to long distance transportation services. This includes bus and rail systems.

Buses move us greater distances within our growing community, and some improvements could be made for people across the peninsula. Rather than pushing my own agenda I will suggest the following survey from the regional government:

Regional Transit Survey

It may not have much information about bringing passenger rail back to the Trillium Line in central Niagara, but it is an outlet for our shared observations in Welland, Pelham, and Port Colborne. Do the survey anyway.
